🥜 “Peanut’s Wrestling Scholarship” Contest

At Keep Kids Wrestling (KKW), we know that wrestling is more than a sport—it’s a family, a discipline, and a calling. That’s why we’re proud to announce Peanut’s Wrestling Scholarship, a $200 award offered twice a year to one dedicated wrestler who exemplifies the values we live by: Community, Commitment, Growth, and Leadership.


💵 Scholarship Overview:

  • Award: $200

  • Frequency: Twice per year

    • Fall Deadline: One Week after your state's High School Wrestling season starts

    • Spring Deadline: One week after your High School State Wrestling Tournament


📹 How to Enter

To apply, wrestlers must submit a video entry (MP4 upload or YouTube link) of 20 minutes or less, with good video and sound quality. Videos may be edited, clipped, or altered as needed. The video must begin with:

  1. The KKW Gesture:

    • Place your right hand over your heart, then slowly fist bump your chest.

    • This shows respect, identity, and heart.

  2. The KKW Phrase (spoken clearly):“I keep kids wrestling—this is my story.

    1. Optional: Add your archetype—“I’m an Underdog / Bruiser / Leader / Artist / Technician.”

  3. Applicant Introduction:

    • My Name is [ first name]

    • I am [years] old

    • And I am a [School Mascot] eg. 'I am a Tiger'

🗣️ Answer These 5 Questions in Your Video

  1. Why did you choose wrestling?

  2. What has wrestling taught you about life or yourself?

  3. How do you encourage others to try wrestling?

  4. What makes the wrestling community special to you?

  5. What are your goals in the sport and in life?

We're not looking for perfection—we're looking for passion, honesty, and heart.

Then End With a visual note card/printed paper of your contact information including Full Name of the legal guardian, number, email. Make this information easily visible and eligible. This information will be used to contact you in case you win the $200 scholarship. This will be clipped off upon filing your submission and will not be made public.


🧾 Rules & Requirements

  • Age Range: 14–23 years old

  • Eligibility: Must be a full-time student in the U.S. school system or a current high school student.

  • Submission Limit: One submission per contest deadline.

  • Submission Deadline:

    • Once before the start of the wrestling season

    • Once the week after your states high school state tournament

  • Entry Location: Upload your video from the members page of KeepKidsWrestling.com

  • Account Requirement: Applicants must create a free member login on the site.

  • Winner Notification: Winners will be contacted through their login email.

  • Media Release: All entries require parent or guardian permission and a signed media release form (if under 18).

  • Ownership Rights: All submissions become property of KKW. We reserve the right to use any or all submissions for any reason, regardless of contest outcome.
